Geothermal energy, as a clean and renewable energy source, is increasingly gaining attention for its development and utilization. Among the key technological approaches are fracture monitoring, tracer circulation tests, characterization of reservoir fracture networks, and parameter inversion, which are crucial for optimizing resource extraction. Fracture monitoring technology can track the fracturing process in real time and provide physical characteristic information of the reservoir. Tracer circulation tests, by monitoring the flow of tracers in the reservoir, reveal the flow characteristics of the reservoir. Characterization of the reservoir fracture network constructs a three-dimensional model of the reservoir's fracture network, reflecting the reservoir's heterogeneity and providing a detailed description for the fluid dynamics behavior of the reservoir. Parameter inversion is a mathematical technique that inverts key parameters of the reservoir, such as fracture density, permeability, porosity, etc., providing scientific support for geothermal resource assessment and management. The integrated use of these technologies is essential for the precise identification and efficient development of geothermal resources, and also provides technical assurance for the sustainable development of geothermal energy.
