To Whom It May Concern
Hot dry rock (HDR) geothermal energy has increasingly received great attentions from international community. In order to explore the thermal energy from the low-permeability hot dry rocks, both thermal and shear stimulations were employed to create connective fracture networks that allow fluid flow in the reservoir, which is the concept of Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS). Supercritical Geothermal Resources (SGR) refer to geothermal resources where the temperature and pressure exceed the critical point of water (374°C and 22.1 MPa). Due to their immense potential and increasing global energy demand, many countries have shown great interest in HDR & SGR.
In order to exchange recent advances and achievements learned nationally and internationally, and to solve scientific, technological and policy issues related to HDR & SGR, we plan to organize the 1st International Workshop on Hot Dry Rock and Supercritical Geothermal Resources (HDR & SGR), in Changchun China, on September 22-24, 2024. We welcome you to attend. Details are announced below.
